Service of the Washing of the Feet

His Excellency the Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius conducted the service of the Washing of the Feet on the Maundy Thursday at the St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic parish, New Rochelle. In the Malankara traditions, only bishops are entitled to do this service. Commemorating event of Jesus washing the feet of his twelve disciples, the bishop ceremoniously washed the feet of twelve people from the parish, including the parish priest. Palm Sunday Celebration

His Excellency the Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Eusebius, the Bishop of the Eparchy officiated the Palm Sunday celebrations at the St. Thomas Syro-Malankara Catholic Parish of New Jersey. The special liturgy of the Palm Sunday began at 10.00 am at the community hall of the Divine Mercy Parish in Rahway. The Palm Sunday liturgy was followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter Kochery, the Pastor of the Parish was the co-celebrant.

His Holiness Pope Francis Erects Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in USA and Canada

On January 4, 2016 His Holiness Pope Francis has elevated the Syro-Malankara Catholic Apostolic Exarchate in the USA to the status of an Eparchy and has included the territory of Canada to the new Eparchy. The Holy Father appointed His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Eusebius as the first bishop of the Eparchy. The new Eparchy is called St. Mary, Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in USA and Canada. This news was announced concurrently at the Vatican, Syro-Malankara Major Archiepiscopal Curia in Trivandrum, India and at the St.

Christmas Celebration and Inauguration of the Silver Jubilee of the Dallas Parish

The Christmas celebration of the St. Mary's Malankara Catholic Parish, Dallas was presided over by His Excellency Dr. Thomas Mar Eusebius during his pastoral visit to the parish. After the solemn liturgy of the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord at 7.00 pm on December 24, His Excellency inaugurated the year long celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the founding of the Malankara Catholic community in Dallas.

Convention Souvenir Release

During the pastoral council meeting of the Exarchate, held on October 24, the souvenir of the 9th Syro-Malankara Catholic Convention held from August 6 to 9 at Virginia, was released. Exarchial Pastoral Council Meeting

An ordinary meeting of the Exarchial Pastoral Council was held on October 24, 2015 at the Exarchial Chancery. The meeting was presided over by His Excellency the Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius. The main item in the meeting agenda was the evaluation of the recently concluded Malankara Catholic Convention. Congratulations to Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose

His Excellency the Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius appointed Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose as the new Pastor of the St. Vincent de Paul Malankara Catholic Cathedral Parish. He took charge of his new ministry on Oct. 18, 2015. Father Abraham Lukose replaces Rev. Fr. Sathyan Antony OIC who has been serving the Cathedral Parish as its Pastor for the past two years. Farewell to Rev. Fr. Sathyan Antony OIC

Rev. Fr. Sathyan Antony OIC has been serving the Exarchate since July, 2011. For the past more than two years he served as the Pastor of the St. Vincent de Paul Malankara Catholic Cathedral Parish. On October 18, Father Sathyan was a given a warm send off, organized by the Cathedral Parish. Calgary Malankara Catholic Mission

A new mission for the Syro-Malankara Catholic faithful living in and around Calgary in Canada was inaugurated on August 29, 2015 by His Excellency the Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius. His Excellency celebrated the Holy Mass for our community in Calgary at the St. Joseph’s Church. After the Holy Mass, His Excellency officially inaugurated the mission, naming it, ‘St. Jude Syro-Malankara Catholic Mission of Calgary’. Rev. Fr. Mar Ivanios Day Celebrations

The 62nd anniversary of the heavenly journey of the Servant of God Mar Ivanios was celebrated by the Exarchate on Sunday, July 12, 2015.
