In a solemn and joyous liturgical celebration, Rev. Sr. Jocelyn Edathil of the Sisters of the Imitation of Christ (SIC) made her Perpetual Profession of Vows on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. Mary's Malankara Syrian Catholic Major Archeparchial Cathedral in Pattom, Trivandrum. The ceremony was presided over by His Grace Archbishop Thomas Mor Koorilos, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archieparchy of Tiruvalla.

The Eparchy rejoices with Sr. Jocelyn and the SIC congregation on this blessed occasion, praying that her witness inspires many to consider the call to religious life.

On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, the Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy of the United States and Canada joins the universal Church in lifting our hearts in prayer for an outpouring of vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life. Instituted by Pope St. Paul VI in 1964, this special day is an invitation to the faithful to pray fervently that more young men and women may hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to serve the Church.

With profound joy and gratitude to the Holy Spirit, the Eparchy rejoices at the historic election of His Eminence Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, O.S.A., of the United States, as the 267th Supreme Pontiff of the Holy Catholic Church. Chosen by the College of Cardinals during the conclave convened at the Vatican, the newly elected Pope has taken the name Leo XIV.
